Bathroom Design Trends: 2023

January 12, 2023

If you are looking to change up your home this year, you’ve come to the right place! Our kitchen and bath designers have the inside scoop on trend predictions for 2023. We’ve already covered color trends for 2023, and next week we’ll have the top kitchen trends, but for today we want to dive into the bathroom design trends for 2023.

Friendly reminder—just because something is in style doesn’t mean it needs a place in your home. Be sure to design spaces that make sense for you and will bring you joy—you have to see it everyday afterall.

Trend #1: Blending Styles

If you read our color trends update for 2023, you know that nature inspired spaces are really hot and will continue to be in the next year. The bathroom is a really easy space to add those softer colors (not quite white, not quite brown) while adding in sharp lines or matte black hardware. Mixing the natural and industrial feel can help a spaces style last for years and be able to be a bit of a chameleon.

For example, pairing a soft corner tub with vertical striped wallpaper can help bring in the natural curves along with modern lines. How will you mix and match in 2023?

Trend #2: Backlit Mirrors

Good lighting in a bathroom is key for so many reasons, and one big player in this space is backlit mirrors. You’ll be seeing a lot more of these in 2023 and beyond, so it might be time to jump on the wagon. From our experience, once you have one you’ll never want to go back.

Our friends at Krugg have options for every space from cabinet mirrors and mirror in all shapes and sizes from round or rectangular to square mirrors. Stop by our Design Center this week to check out our catologue and find the best mirror for your space.

Trend #3: Open-spout Faucets

Delta Faucet

Taking more inspiration from nature, open-spout faucets have to be listed in top bathroom trends for 2023. Giving the waterfal feel without a wide flow of water ads a touch of nature to your bathroom while still being sleek and modern. In the spirit of mixing styles, these faucets often come in matte black or even gold to add a bold statement to your powder room renovation.
